My grandma lives in Port Bolivar, it's pretty scary that when a storm comes in quickly she may not be able to leave because of this section of road.

This is my hometown, I lost everything in Ike and relocated to Katy. But I have just bought four lots near fort travis and this is a major issue, this road is the only road out once the ferry cant dock in high tides. waiting years will greatly effect the peninsula and the residents.

My sister lives on Bolivar Peninsula. I visit with her real often. Sometimes the road is almost impassable. She has doctors apps in Beaumont, Baytown, and Galveston. The road is in desperate need of repairs.

This roadway should be ELEVATED, like an overpass, to enable access and evacuation, with frequent entrances & exits. Even expansion to 4 lanes should be considered. This is an emergency highway for patients going to and from Galveston for medical care, and for the evacuation of residents and vacationers on Bolivar peninsula to escape storms.

Something has to be done. Normal tides and rain are now regularly flooding the road and this is the major evacuation route for residents. Also buses that are transporting students are affected. Tired of the peninsula being treated like the "step child". Move on getting this fixed now! PLEASE

We will not stop voicing our concerns until the situation is completely resovled and when there is no longer a safety issue. Voters are disgusted with the bureaucracy and red tape involved in getting anything done!

I drive every day to Crystal Beach from Winnie for work but it has been impossible to get to work at times because of hwy 87 being closed due to high tides and debris covering the road
