Galveston county can spend money to fill in rollover pass and build a pier but can't fix the road 87 to get there, sad!!! Fix the road we travel that road frequently. It is a safety issue to the residents and visitors in this area

We need this road raised up or some other solution as just removing sand after the fact is not the answer.

September 2008 at least 80 feet of beach was washed away. The Texas Department of Transportation said "we are working on a solution"....November 2015 the story is still the same. With high tide and a strong (15-25 mph wind) hundreds of people who live on this 30 miles peninsula are trapped with only the ferry to escape and it closes down in high winds. Lives will be lost again if something DIFFERENT than concrete road barriers is not done. There is a mile of land NORTH of this intersection to relocate a road.....which may be the only solution.

Every day my husband drives this road to work. This is so wrong. We live in Texas, not a third world country.

Highway 87 is a hurricane evacuation route. Government should be proactive and fix the curve now before people are trapped by storm surge and lives are lost.

We need the road to be able to exit the beach.
