I love this scenic route and I would love to see it opened back up all the way to Sabine Pass again.

Vital to keep this road in good condition. The State should upgrade to include elevation of the road bed to assure travel during minor storms from Galveston to High Island Texas. Vital for hospital emergency trips and vital to economy.

I traveled this Hwy. 87 to 124 yesterday and at the curve water and debris were already covering the road. No storm just high tide and wind. Something must be done to fix this stretch of road for the safety of the residents.

87 is a main vein for evacuation during storms. At this point the gulf comes over 87 and cuts residents off during rain storms and high winds. Should we have an actual hurricane or tropical depression to where the ferry is shutdown the residents on the peninsula will b trapped.

This needs to be fixed I take care of my parents in Stowell and need to get there daily and especially in case of an emergency! Please fix! My parents are 82 and 79! Please fix this once and for all!

For us who live on the peninsula and still are working , the drive to work is very difficult sometimes. Its ashamed that we ( the home owners) pay all these property taxes and nothing is done. The tax money we pay needs to stay on our side and be used for repairs . The same goes for the beach stickers , that money needs to stay on this side!

I agree this needs to be fixed! I love coming down here but with this being such an issue it scares me to death to think I may get stuck and not be able to make it home short of a LONG drive back.
