Resident since fall '98, daughter traveled to Lamar, been stuck on peninsula several times due to no operating ferry and non-passable SH87-124 road conditions, worsening every year. Our taxes have to be used to get this emergency situation corrected. Honestly, I-45 at Baybrook mall will be fixed long before 87 is. TXDOT: get to it now!!

Erosion that has shut down SH 87 in Jefferson County is now becoming an issue w/ Galveston county, only this effects real property and not the refuge.

The road needs to be MOVED inland at least 150 feet (or more) . The DOT can use the tax money the county collects from all of us who live on the peninsula to buy up the land needed etc.
