Be Heard - Petition for Miami Township Trustees Re: Ryan Homes Proposed Development

I call upon the trustees to put the community's needs above the developer's wants. If the infrastructure cannot support this, and I believe it cannot, then the plan needs modification before approval. Unfortunately for Ryan Homes, the area is not able to sustain development at this density.

Current Mitchell Farm resident. Traffic analysis is flawed.

My concern is largely with overcrowding of schools.

This is designed to make maximum profit for Ryan homes and no other purpose. Please do what is best for the Township and not a company's bottom line.

I am a Miami Twp resident. I do not support Ryan Homes or Miami Township's plans for more houses crammed into the planned space. Why can't our community have a Rec center or YMCA with increased tax dollars?

I strongly disagree with the development that will take place along the old farm on Weber road, I am a 8 year resident to this neighborhood and think it will cause several problems,

Please consider the impact to current residents and not the business interest of a few people

This is a bad deal for those of us who have already invested in this community. I fully support the development of the property, but not to the detriment of our property values, or the community as a whole.

Way too small of lots for the area.

Our schools cannot possibly support the number of children expected in this development and traffic on Branch Hill Guinea Pike during morning and afternoon commute hours will be horrible.

I liked the idea of a YMCA there much better!!! Makes more sense for the area. In the meantime I am really enjoying the fields as opposed to what aounds like an over-crowded housing development.

I am chiefly concerned that a more sustained and thoughtful study of infrastructure impact be conducted. For example those that traverse these roads at peak times throughout the week know that there will be a dramatic impact with unintended but serious consequences. A 4 hour study two years ago is--at best--flawed data.

Main concerns being only access via Weber road as well as bad traffic data. The homes also do not offer sufficient set backs and will end up with too many vehicles parked on the streets.

Traffic, school and other resources will be pushed to the limit. Please reconsider.

I am appalled that this Township is ignoring the cries of their taxpaying citizens in order to listen to a multi- million dollar company such as Ryan Homes. You do NOT represent them, you are supposed to be representing us. This development is obviously a burden to those of us already living here, & you know it. Show us you care about your constituents & listen to what we are saying!

Not opposed to development but the current plan is not right. Traffic, schools and home values will be negatively impacted.

The zoning should be R1 only -no PUD. Entrance should be on BHG Pike only not Weber Road

Development will come. Our trustees need to support the current residents. I've been in Paxton South for 28 years. Ryan's proposed development is not up to the standard of the Paxton area and will devalue the township.

Seems like they would look at the school system before they go and add more students to the schools that are already overcapacity.
