Be Heard - Petition for Miami Township Trustees Re: Ryan Homes Proposed Development

Oppose the subdivision as proposed. As a resident, the traffic on Branchhill is already bad. The road and schools can not handle the amount of traffic and students projected.

Do NOT allow this to happen. We have enough trouble on Branch Hill already let alone allowing more housing and traffic. This would be a diplorable act on the part of the board.

I am signing this petition as I am opposed to the development proposed for Ryan Homes at Branch Hill and Weber Road.

Agree with petition. Developer should take additional action to resolve outstanding issues.

There is so much traffic already. Please make this neighborhood consistent with the homes around it.

Miami Township needs green space, and the Branch-Hill & Weber intersection is already too crowded, too close to Boyd. E. Smith Elementary.

I live off BHG and it's hard enough getting onto the street as it is and now I have a teenage driver....there have been many accidents outside of Paxton South Subdivision due to heavy traffic and ppl having to take risks getting on to BHG. PLEASE NO MORE TRAFFIC on these one lane roads for the safety of all our township drivers!

I like the ideas being suggested of using the acreage for the community - a park or a YMCA sound great! We have so many wonderful families in this area already, why not allow them some space to breathe? I also echo everyone else's concerns - the traffic flow is already a major issue. While I'm all for looking at how to improve the turn signals and road size, making those improvements while also adding more traffic essentially cancels out any/all attempts to improve the traffic situation.

I do not believe the cost figures for these new houses are remotely accurate. Further, I think the additional traffic will exacerbate what is already a dangerous situation on Weber Road.

We do not need anymore construction there are houses empty ! The traffic is already backed up on Weber and Branch Hill ! Let Mother Nature have some space to thrive !

This plan has one goal an that is to maximize the density of the acreage. The proper infrastructure seems to be of know concern.

I do not understand why the county will not a loud an exit onto BHG ,they say there is no traffic problem .. By putting all the traffic on to Weber creates a problem for the adjoining neighborhoods. They also will aloud the construction too be more dense than the area is zone for. Why not put an exit aligned with Jer Les so the new homes with children can go straight across BHG to the school. This would also help the traffic problem. also

I oppose this type of development at this time. Development has been backwards in this community for decades; neighborhoods are built without infrastructure being completed first...namely roadway capacity. BHGP is in nearly the same width and structure as is was in the early '60s. Like it or not, BHGP has, and is a major artery for this community. I am a 20 yr resident and former 25 yr police officer that handled or assisted in hundreds of minor and major vehicle crashes and/or other incidents on BHGP. In it's current size, BHGP must be shut down both directions for most vehicle crashes, let alone disabled vehicles, deers struck, branches/trees down etc. Diverted traffic has to go through neighborhoods or other primary roads; costing time and an entire geographical region being backed up. BHGP must be widened at least an additional lane width to keep up with current traffic, let alone an additional large neighborhoods amount of cars. I'm a NO vote.

Traffic is already at a standstill each day and cutting through it all neighborhoods is out of control. Rather than focusing on gaining more taxes for additional housing you should use the current to fix the already serious issues. The lot sizes of these home will have a negative effect on the area as well. With that you are reducing values of current homes in the area.

Of primary concern is that the zoning commission could not find the time to read written correspondence regarding residents' opinions of this development and in the summarization given some ideas were even mocked. Makes one wonder if the township even recognizes, or cares, about the impact the proposed development would have on our property values, traffic patterns, and our schools.

The traffic conditions alone are reason to delay and do more research. The new housing off branch hill guinea at the horse farm will have an effect and should have projections included in the study to account for traffic at the wards corner intersection of Loveland miamiville and the 275 ramps. Additionally, what are the water and weather ramifications. What effect will this have on our supply of water and water pressure in the surrounding communities? What effect will it have when the more and more frequent "heavy rain" weather events occur for drainage on tiny parcels with high volumes of buildings and concrete? Does our drainage system have the capacity to absorb or divert water where more green space would allow for absorption?

Concerning for over crowded schools

I oppose this development due to the increased traffic congestion, overcrowding at Boyd E Smith, and many other numerous reasons.
