I do not see a reason for a fall break when the district also has Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks immediately following. I vote to take away fall break and finish the school year one week earlier.

I am against extending the school year until June 7 to accommodate for a week long break at the end of October. If you want a fall break, make it a long weekend (4 days) at the quarter or trimester break!

I feel very strongly that the fall break will be detrimental to all BHS students! Additionally, for AP and honors students, the break in learning combined with delayed assessment will create an irreversible decline in student understanding and performance.

It isn't truly a break if you participate in Fall sports. Opponents are still in school. Practices and games continue. Those families won't get to travel so it's just "home days" for those kids when they could just be in school. 4 days maybe - 10 days, no thank you.

The current calendar already puts a strain on parents trying to find after school care. This new calendar will create more burden for parents, especially those who are single parents and/or have no relatives in the area to help out.

This schedule would be disruptive to the schedule for HS students. They already have way to many early out days and days off through out the school year. We do not need a week long break only 2 months after the start of the school. This may work for elementary students but they do not have to worry about a GPA at that stage.

I've had children in school since 1996. Why does this have to be a struggle. We as a Bhs community need to think of the children first. I sure wish we wouldn't enable children. And teach them what life is really about.

As a student I think this break would be unnecessary and take time away from our summer and learning
