BC realtors are joining the public outcry protesting the implementation of HST which will impose a hardship on the people who wish to purchase their own homes and struggling builders who are keeping the housing industry afloat by building homes and structures for British Columbia. This tax was promised to not be imposed on BC but the existing government had reneged on that promise. The economic downturn had already imposed hardships on the citizens of our region and the housing industry. This added 7% in taxation will cripple it further, perhaps due to the perception that our quiet suffering and non voicing of complaints is interpreted as full agreement to the tax. This is the wrong time to burden the people further by more taxes. Mr Gordon Campbell, You promised us citizens of British Columbia that you will stop the implementation of the HST in our province, hence you got elected in the last elections. This is our petition to scrap this tax burden.
