The city of Fort Worth, Texas has changed a city ordinance that seems a little bit of a nuisance. It seems it was voted that anyone residing in apartment complexes can no longer keep a grill on their patio.

Since we barbeque several times a week, you can see the conundrum we are in. We own a large grill, and are being asked to remove it. It is a really inconvenient regulation.

Supposedly, we can barbeque, we just cant storage our grill on our patio. I understand that they are concerned because of fire safety concerns, but some of us comply with the rules.

Being that we are habitual bbq'ers, we always respect the rules to bbq at least 15 to 20 ft away from the apartment. We literally bbq 3 to 4 times a week, but worry that we will no longer be able to do that...if we have to move the grill to a storage facility.

I think that is not fair, because it was never mentioned in the lease...and in fact when we asked if we could bbq...they initially told us yes. They have told us that this is an official regulation, and we must remove our grill from our patio...even though there is clearly more than enough space for the grill.

Please sign my petition in agreement with us that this city ordinance should be returned to its previous state, when people could keep their bbq grills on their patios, and well covered up.
