this is the only good thing run by the National Park! reduce the white collar planning dept numbers and keep the places that educate the public about the NP , too much money spent on protecting bats and nothing else seems to matter !

First the police fine 150 cars by Pen Y Fan for parking on road , which is so anti tourism for Wales and now they want to shut much needed Visitor Centre.......BONKERS

Contact with the public, the end user of the National Park, providing information, education and local knowledge is vital to the continued existence of the park. Without it much of the good work done will be lost .

A lovely place to visit, the visitor centre really adds to any visit to this area, with masses of information and helpful staff.

As a concerned local community councilor, the visitor centre creates employment for LOCAL people.If the BBNP need to cut 5% it should at the work and reputation of its planning dept and the need of the planning committee,.giving this responsibility back to the local people would be the most popular decision the BBNP could possibly make with 99% of its residents.

The wholly enlightened National Parks & Access to the Countryside Act 1949 set out, as a founding principle, that their purpose was "conserving and enhancing the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the area and of promoting opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the special qualities of those areas by the public". How can shutting the information centres facilitate that splendid purpose? Don't let it happen!

I understand that Organisations need to save money, but with closing the Information centre at the Libanus, does take the money during the summer months due to the public visiting the centre. Plus the help the staff give to the foreign visitors, through the summer months. And that go's for the Waterfalls centre at pontneddfechan. To up the funds from the Waterfalls centre, then why not have the centre open TWICE a week during the Winter months at on a rial period to see if any profit is being made, and the same with the Libanus Centre, There will be a bigger lose of funds if only the cwm porth iformation centre is open. As from, as far as Scotland to the far south of England and abroad visit the libanus centre and then directed to the waterfall centre. At the end of the day why take it out on the employees for what the GOVERNMENT IS DOING TO THIS COUNTRY?. THE employees have a genuine interest in their country like many others through out the whole of wales in protecting the country from planning buildings on it.
