The information centre shop and tea room is a "must do" destination for thousands of people. The pleasure of such a delightful venue is shared by so many not only those of us who live within an hour or two's drive but more especially by our visitor to Wales It is all very well talking about Heritage but this is as important as other sites. Do address costs by all means but some things are beyond value.

I am dismayed-this is the sort of thing that the Tory government's so-called 'austerity' to reduce the State to 19th century spending levels, actually means in practice.

I visit this centre, eat and meet friends there and use its facilities pretty well whenever I return to Wales.

This seems a very short sighted initiative. Visito numbers to the area are likely to fall as a result - and the local economy suffer.

I'm shocked to hear of the proposal to close these information centres. I am a frequent visitor to the Libanus centre, it is a wonderful place to take visitors with excellent education and events and is a huge asset to our area, please reconsider, to close this doesn't make sense.

I understand cuts have to be made but really? These are two of the most popular areas during summer months surely. Why not reduce the hours and close more during winter months?

What is happening to the National Park. There will be signs going up next saying "visitors not welcome"

If tourists are not shown what they can do and see they won't have the best experience possible and therefore never return again. There is far more to the Brecon Beacons National Park than just Pen y Fan and by showing them this they stay for longer and return to the area.

I'd get rid of many of the other functions of the park that aren't working and concentrate on information, influence and education. i.e. keep the information centres..

This is a wonderful resource, attracting tourists to the area as well as to the centre itself, and its loss will be far greater than the shop revenue. The value of such an educational site must not be overlooked. In the digital age, it is vital that families have places like this to meet and participate in outdoor activities. I urge the BBNPA to reconsider this rash decision.

I think these should both continue to receive funding, so that people can visit bringing money into the area and keeping jobs
