This venue is essential for people who don't know the area or want a base to plan there adventures. I feel it's closure will effect tourism in that area.

An amazing place. Only found it last year. I've taken all my family and friends there. My family and I have spent many occasions there as it caters for everyone. DONT GET RID OF IT PUT MONEY INTO ADVERTISING ITS THERE! If people don't know its there then they're not going to use it.

This is so vital to the area - our first visit to the Brecons, we found it so helpful & it was great to be able to sit & enjoy a coffee etc also browse round the shop

I have enjoyed the visitors centres on various visits to my friend near Brecon, and would greatly deplore their loss. I fail to see how decreasing the amenities can encourage visitor numbers to the area.

If funding is a problem, keep local front line staff who know their onions and reduce distant bureaucrats who don't.

We visit the Libanus centre several times a year and on each occasion there has always been visitors asking the staff for advice on experiencing the beacons. It is very shortsighted to lose these resources as visitors bring a great deal of money into the area.

Both these centres are a vital resource for visitors to the Brecon Beacons national Park. 99.9% of my guests visit one of these places and the feedback is always positive, quite often one of their highlights. It would be very shortsighted to close the centres and impact the tourism industry and local economy.

This is such a valued local resource, a great place to take visitors, and would be profoundly missed were it to be closed.

Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water. Who's short sighted plan was this.

Please don't close this lovely facility. Our visits to the Brecon Beacons would not be complete without a trip to the Information Centre and shop.

Can't believe that they are going to close such a busy place. Lack of foresight by the County Council.

Please don't close the visitor centre. It provides invaluable information for thousands of visitors to the National Park each year as well as selling some essential kit for hill walkers.

Hi Godfrey, well i contacted Iolo Williams and he was not aware or happy, he stated he would put something on the radio but have not heard anything since. Bbc welsh news and countryfile have also been contacted.

I strongly disagree with this decision to close the visitor centre.

Visitor Centre's are a vital part of local spots. Obviously, the local authority only sees profit, and when that doesn't accrue to their liking, their driving principle is to shut it down. Shame! I wonder what Iolo Williams must think?
