I live a few blocks away and I oppose this construction. We already have too many schools in a three block radius. I'm sure in this entire queens district there is somewhere else to build this High SChool.

I am opposed to another school in this area. Please consider another more practical use and location. An honest way to consider this, is to actually listen to your constituents directly. Thank you, respectfully.

The communities should be the ones that have the last word, and also be involved in all neighborhood decisions... Because they are the ones that will be affected by this....traffic, busing..crowds..etc...its not plausible in this neighborhood, at this time or anytime.

Why is the BOE not looking for a site in areas where there are no schools like Whitestone,Beechhurst,College Point,Little Neck, etc. We already have 2 high schools in Bayside. Bayside schools would not be so overcrowded if they did not include students from all these areas. Find another location!

Many schools in the area and money to be spent could be used in other areas!

The street is too small for additional traffic. It is not safe for the students and residents.

The area is heavily congested already. Any additional schools built in the area will add to congestion and and add to the already dangerous conditions that exist

Area is to congested with schools. Feel it would be to daugerous when all the schools are getting out at one time and be to much traffic in that one area.

Enough. It is not needed in this area unless you going to bus kids in!!

Stop the contract to build the high school, having 2 high schools in close proximity to each other is only a recipe for disaster.

Bayside H.S. is right next to proposed site. This does make sense and is not fair to the residents who are already next to one High School

The Board of Ed should utilize the empty seats in other district schools before any discussion of ANOTHER school being built in our neighborhood. Our district is operating at well over 100% capacity while there are seats available elsewhere.

Before building any more schools in Bayside, other nearby areas should be considered, as the infrastructure in is inadequate. Isn't there lots of land on the eastern side of Colleg Point (near and including the soon to be closed NY Times printing facility)?

Bayside already has a high school of 3500 students 3 blocks away that puts a tremendous stress on the surrounding community and the quality of life in the area - It will be an unfair burden on this community to add an additional 1000 students and faculty to the over 5000 students already attemding the 4 schools in the area - It is out of context with the neighborhood and would be better suited at a more appropriate location

An additional school in bayside is not necessary given all the schools already existing in the neighborhood.

As a Bayside resident, parent, and former educator, I must say that many of the comments for opposing the HS are selfish and self centered. If we want to win this battle I think we need a better argument than bad parking and crowded buses.

There are other neighborhoods in more need of a high school. I do not oppose a new school but I do oppose a new high school at this location. If a new school was to be opened at this location it should be a middle school.

Dumbfounding how this location could be considered for a new High School.

I am totally against this. We have parking issues and traffic issues. We have 5 schools already in this area. A High School should be placed in Whitestone where there isn't one.
