The club sounds like a fun idea for a few special people, but the location is inappropriate, given the fabric of the neigbhorhood, and it puts hundreds of people who live in the neighborhood on the defensive. To me, it could set a dangerous precedent for zoning decisions throughout the City of Tampa.

Bayshore Boulevard is Tampa's signature. It needs to remain beautiful and residential. It is not the right place for a commercial project, especially one with exclusive access only!!

Your club would be great located elsewhere, away from the grandest sidewalk in the State, where my kids ride bikes, people jog, kids learn to drive when 16 on this long stretch of road where the last thing needed is alcohol impaired drivers who are at less risk to the community in a less traffic and less pedestrian area. Oxford Exchange was an amazingly positive addition to the community. Please consider locating the club elsewhere and let Bayshore shine as the peaceful jewel is currently is. We appreciate your willingness to be in a dialogue about this.

My parents have lived 100 yards away from the Stovall-Lee mansion for the past 45 years, and I’ve personally lived 2 blocks away for the past twenty-plus years, and, aside from the fact that such a proposal will necessitate a change in use that will increase the likelihood of other such non-residential projects nearby, and could eventually lead to this beautiful, historic house’s destruction and replacement by another condo high rise, we also do not want the immediate impacts of the noise and light pollution from undoubtedly constant events, and the obvious increased danger of traffic to our selves, pets and property from its members, employees and service vehicles regularly flocking in and out at all hours, as they back up Bayshore Boulevard, and cut through our sleepy side streets.

As a former resident of Tampa, I have to agree that Bayshore Blvd. and Gandy is a terrible place for the proposed club!

Traffic coming from MacDill already clogs the area as people come and go to the base. There are walkers and joggers who rely on this peaceful stretch of waterfront for exercise. There is an assisted living facility a half-block away. Please reconsider spoiling our neighborhood.

A club that would have delivery trucks rumbling down the brick streets and/or Bayshore Blvd at all times of day or night along with increased traffic in this area is just not appropriate for our neighborhood.

Me and my wife live at 2903 W. Coachman and bought that house 2 years ago for the quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We are 100% opposed to the Stovall social club project moving forward.

This type of project does not belong in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I worry about the impact of increased traffic on our already narrow and crowded streets as well as the risks involved in a club that will be serving alcohol until late in the evening. While the proposal for this club seems elegant and lovely, it has no place in the backyards of our current residents.

I appreciate what the Casper family does for our community and I admire his vision. I wish that his team would be more forthcoming with specific details (break-even membership count, contingency plans and assumption of certain liabilities) that would help illuminate what the project could look like upon execution. I understand this projects enjoys support from influential members of our community, to whom I’d ask: would you want the uncertainty and lasting effects of this project 250 feet from your home? I do not.
