Most open enrollment students are being forced to leave as well. Many who live to the east were assigned to 284.

Please consider other options other than the current rezoning plan. Could all current students be grandfathered in and allowed to remain at Basswood. Could pods be utilized? This is incredibly stressful on the children who will be forced to move. My son cried when I told him he might have to go to a different school next year. Keeping the stability for our children is very important. Thank you.

please don't change the school boundries after homes were purchased in that area because of the choice of schools.

What is happening is not fair to all the families affected. The board members need to hear our voices.

Reasonable solutions, i.e. end open enrollment or wait until 6th grade movers, are available.

It is incredibly frustrating to see that open enrolled students are able to stay at Basswood, but our child will not only have to make the adjustment of a new school, but also be assigned to a lower-ranked school in performance.

People purchased home in this community because of Basswood Elementary, not for the Oak view. Reassignment will not be the good idea in interest of the people in this community.

Please do not reassign the school. Reassign the school is not a good idea. This reassignment proposal is not comparing apple to apple. It will be not good for kids transferring from top school of the district to the low school of the district. People purchased home in our community based on Basswood Elementary, not for the Oak view. It would be unfair to the people in this community if this reassignment takes place. Thank you for listening the peoples’ voice.

We support this petition to stop district 279 from rezoning our homes. Please plan other options. Our students need to remain in their neighborhood schools.

Rezoning should be never the 1st and the only proposal, because so many families and kids' life will be impacted, especially there is some other options.

I totally support this petition and "stopping open enrollment" should be the No 1 option in the proposal to solve the overcrowding issue.

Big part of our home selection process is based around schools. It is unfair to punish us when there are other options to explore

Why not build another school where all the new residents to the district live? Maybe with the tax dollars they contribute, along with the millions we voters just approved in new levies?

Makes no sense to bus kids that far when kids right next to Oakview don't even go there. No other word but stupid. Can't imagine how many hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars went to consultants to come up with this ridiculous plan.

I hope you are right. This article indicates that open enrollment would be closed to stabilize enrollment. http://maplegrove.patch.com/groups/schools/p/osseo-school-proposal-reduces-crowded-basswood-elementary-angers-some-parents

My cousin and her family moved into their neighborhood just last year, specifically so there two young daughters could be in this district! Now they are very upset that it is being changed! Please considered peoples families!
