100% back this idea. Why have a international arena for basketball but yet can’t encourage the sport for the local community. Great idea

Worcester has a resident professional basketball team, 3 university teams. 2000 people watch basketball through the Pro season. There is considerable interest from juniors/youth but zero public facilities to encourage participation. Thank you

Very much needed in central Worcester, especially seen as basketball is a prominent sport at Worcester University. Ghulevelt Park is the nearest outdoor court but is substandard for basketball training/play for adults as the baskets are low and it is over a tennis court which is frequently in use

This is so needed. We have to give our children sporting opportunities. We are a basketball city thanks to the Worcester Wolves so should be encouraging this sport.

There are no hoops on this side of the river.

There’s a huge interest in basketball in the city now but we need to encourage the youngsters to take up the sport and make basketball accessible for all our in the fresh air. A basketball court on Cripplegate Park would be amazing for St John’s and the city to achieve this
