Baseball Stadium in the City of Madison - No Donations Required

The people need to vote.

In order to rezone this property, the developer proposed community improvements, restaurants, shopping, movie theater. The currently proposed baseball stadium would be too close to existing homes. Additionally, the traffic is already too congested in this area and on this portion of 565 (due to Redstone Arsenal's main entrance being so close).

Something of this magnitude should absolutely decided by the citizens of Madison!

If you build it with our hard earned taxpayers dollars, the people who like baseball will come and you'll be paying for it for years.

Not interested in building facility for minor league baseball for many reasons!.

I think the taxpayers of Madison should be he deciders. Personally, I have absolutely no interest in a sports stadium. I do not want my tax dollars to go toward this. I really don’t want it in my backyard after being promised restaurants, shopping and movie theater. Traffic will be even worse with the decision to not have propsed connection to 565 connect to Madison Blvd. Nightmare! Let’s finish the road widening projects and NOT spend any money toward a stadium that will be quickly abandoned & left as an eye sore.

This is not what I want my taxes to go to. There was too much collusion with men who stand to gain from this. And this is not a facility that will benefit me at all! It should be approved by the people who are to pay for it from now on.

With teams in Nashville and Birmingham, attendance will have to come from the immediate vicinity who have not shown strong support of minor league baseball in the past.

I am against a baseball stadium; it is a waste of tax payer’s money and should not be build next to a residential area

The citizens of Madison should be given a vote. Madsion city council should schedule a referendum particularly with a project of this magnitude.

In my experience restaurants may benefit, but almost no one stays over night for a minor league game. Let the people who profit, ie the owners, pay for it.

We the people who won't be using this sports stadium do not want to pay for it. Find investors to pay for its construction and upkeep. The investors can sell tickets and enjoy the profits.
