The Barrel Man was a major part of the atmosphere of the Broncos as I was growing up, while not as beloved as the second most important person in history, Mr John Elway (behind only Our Lord Jesus), he was certainly one of my childhood icons. It would be a fitting honor to the avatar of Broncos Fans everywhere.

My first game was in 1977, the year of our first Super Bowl. Tim McKernan was always a favorite of mine and of my children, who grew up watching The Barrel Man get the crowd up and loud. He is a true Denver classic.

I remember my first Bronco game and remember seeing Tim for the first time in my life and it left a lasting impression. He epitomizes the Bronco's fans and family. He is remembered by Broncos fans as not just a fan but as a Member of the Bronco's organization and is deserving having his name in the ring. When you think of Broncos fans you think of the Barrel Man. He was with the team through the good and bad. To Bronco fans he is as legendary as Elway. I know that from heaven he is making that Mile High Thunder roll right before a game and his legacy will live on. Do the right thing and make him a permanent fixture in the Mile High ring of excellence. He deserves that.

Been a BRONCOS fan for 30 years now. Miss the Barrel Man. My mom loves him too. She loves the cold weather and he always brought a smile to her face. She said if she were brave enough she would wear the same outfit and stand next to him.

He donated the profits from the sale of the barrel to a battered women's shelter in Gunnison, CO. That's ring of fame material by itself.
