It is important to me to remove the Thornton name from our freeway given the dreadful history associated with this past mayor and more importantly as a member of the Ku Klux Klan. I respect President Obama and would like to see the freeway bear his name. Thank you for your consideration.

These are different times than times past.....we should exclude all alt-right members from our infrastructure(s) because gone are the days of slavery and oppression....it is a new day and time and time again we should all get along!!!

KKK members are the devil's agents and should not be glorified by the state whereas Obama, while far from perfect, is an important historical figure as well as a class act.

I dont think just because he was mayor he should have a free way name in his honor. He was also a member of The KKK. That alone shouldn't allow it

It is time remove the name of hateful men from our roads, schools, and other public places. Although we should never forget our history, we ought not venerate those undeserving of praise.
