It is time remove the name of hateful men from our roads, schools, and other public places. Although we should never forget our history, we ought not venerate those undeserving of praise.

The terrorists acts of the Ku Klux Klan should neither be celebrated nor tolerated. It's time to put the horrific terror behind us.

The point of the world is to change, and the world is changing before out eyes. It is time for us to let go and drop the blanket of hatred that has gripped out country for so long, and let it fade into obscurity.
Do the right thing - rename the freeway.

Dear fellow countrymen, I love our country. I love the people who have sweat, bled, sacrificed their life for this country. If you want to know more behind the man, the man you are encouraging to take down. He has been one of the many men to help make Dallas as great of a city as we know it today. He is a man that made the American Dream, from rags to riches. He was a great man that helped make the Dallas Citizens Council. That cares about you and me. Not only was he the president of the State Fair of Texas, he made art a good place here. From Opera, to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He also ensured that the lakes were in place to keep Dallas's Water Supply up. He grew Dallas Love Field Airport, at the time was the only airport. Funny thing, He was a Democrat, which means he was just as Democrat as Barack Obama. He was known successful businessman, because he was able to give people auto insurance when no other banks would, earlier in his career. His bank actually made it in one of the worst times in American History through the Dust Bowl. However, "it was Thornton's civic involvement that caused journalists to begin calling him "Mr. Dallas," wrote from Dallas Morning News. Journalists loved him in the 1960's. Yes, things have changed in all that time. It was a rough time in our history. But, know that this man has done more for TEXAS than Barack Obama has ever done. If you find a new name, fine. But, don't put a presidents name that has done worse for the state, than the governor has.
