We do not need more cars and more traffic in this area or anywhere in Delray for that matter. It is not safe and too congested. And it is dangerous for the children that attend Banyan Creek Elementary School

The City of Delray already allowed a huge apartment complex at Lake Ida and Congress, for which there is NO road development to handle the traffic. A project at Lake Ida and Barwick is totally unacceptable, in light of the fact that the roads are already congested.

Property value will drop and will be to much traffic. Lots of kids in this neighborhood

This would be terrible for the neighborhood.
This is unsustainable. Property values would plummet.

The roads are already backed up with the school which makes the walk for elementary children dangerous as is. There is no room for widening Barwick and adding entrances and exits for busy apartment complex will assuredly make the walk or bike ride to and from school very dangerous for the students who live on the walk/ride route, not to mention the traffic which already backs up to Coconut Lane will assuredly get worst.

I no longer live in Delray and sold my home because Delray has turned into a dump hole for scumbags and lunatics. Section 8 housing on Barwick isn’t a surprise. Sad to see such nice neighborhoods and residents bare the brunt of such horrible decision making. Glad I sold when I did. Say goodbye to your propert values!

Adding additional traffic to the already busy road would not make any sense at all......

I am a resident at 1320 Sabal Lakes Road. From 7:50 on weekday mornings to 8:10, the traffic tie-up on Barwick at Lake Ida is lengthy. Further, there are over a thousand apartment units going in now on Lake Ida and Flavor Pict. My southbound commute on Military Trail to travel 7 miles to get to work is running at 32 minutes in the morning. The area is getting "NYCed" in rush hour congestion. Suggest you add more lanes to Military Trail, Congress and Jog to free up the congestion. This congestion is a reason to move out of the area.

Delray Police are required to enable residents of the existing developments to get themselves to work on time as it is in the mornings. To add a multiunit development of 102 units on 6.68 acres in the area is ridiculous.

There is plenty of land to build on, this location is unsuitable for this proposal.

I am totally against an apartment building like that so close to this elementary school. Unfortunately, Delray has not yet gotten control of its drug and rehabilitation housing and I am afraid an apartment building like this would likely attract a large enough number of transient and possibly unstable residents. There are plenty of apartments around Delray and plenty of places to put more. Please not right next to our wonderfully elementary school.

Traffic is busy enough and dangerous for our school age children.

Barwick already cannot handle the traffic, and road delays caused by Banyan Elementary School, Any re-zoning for an apartment complex put on the remaining land will be obvious over development, and will make flow through travel a nightmare. Delays of 10+ minutes are already a daily occurrence.

I oppose the Banyan Cove project based on the increased traffic and lack of infrastructure to handle the increase.
