I am adamantly opposed to a multi unit housing development on Barwick Road north of Sabal Lakes Road. The street is already a nightmare due the school traffic at Banyan Elementary. This area of town is already saturated with housing developments: Bexley Park and Sabal Lakes, plus other single family homes. Please vote this down.

It saddens me as a home owner of Bexley Park with small children that attend Banyan Creek Elem that this development is being considered. The fact that apartments will look over at the school with small children at play sickens me. The fact that it already takes me over twenty minutes to drive my children to school in the mornings when I only live 30 seconds away goes to show we do NOT need anymore traffic on a two way road with many kids walking to school. The fact that my community is not a gated community only means more through traffic because it's already known that no one wants to wait in the school line in the AM and PM so they just drive (speeding) through my development. The fact that Banyan Creek Elem is already at its student limit creates another boat load of issues. This school already has a wait time of 20-30 mins every morning just to get the day started.

When are you going to look at the safety and welfare of the existing owners who live in this area and the CHILDREN that have to WALK there to go to school?

There is absolutely no benefit to adding more traffic and congestion to Barwick road. Please keep this neighborhood out of the developers hands.

It would behoove Sr. Planner Michael Howe to use all available resources at his disposal to survey the area and come to the conclusion that changing the future land use from medium residential to high residential is absolutely ludicrous. Like many commenting on this petition, it would create unnecessary congestion and safety concerns.

The traffic caused by the school is already unbearable and extremely inconvenient to everyone. Adding new homes will only make the traffic worse, as there isn't enough road space.

Traffic conditions are already bad. Adding more houses there will stagnate traffic even more making it unbearable.

Combining school traffic congestion, rush hour traffic, traffic to and from the retail stores on Flavor Pict and more high density housing is a recipe for disaster. Especially on a two lane road with virtually no room for expansion. We will see more traffic volume, more traffic safety issues, more delays during work rush hour and school traffic hours. Combine that with hurricane season, the need for quick emergency service access as well as the added strain on law enforcement with the ever increasing crime levels in the vicinity; We are going to see an even bigger change to the characteristics of our community, and most probably not in a good way.
