There's a new buzz word going around, but you may not have heard of it!  It's being talked about a lot in the UK, even though we're certainly experiencing it here in Canada! Do you know what a ZERO-HOUR CONTRACT entails? You may be a victim of it if you're on-call for a job that keeps you on board with very few hours (or 0 hours) per week with no guaranteed minimum hours! There is trend in firms adopting the zero hour contract and if it isn't already affecting you, you might get an ugly wake-up call. Zero-hour contracts coming to a workplace near you! We need to ban zero-hour contracts because the only ones who benefit are the employers!
