Final supporters
As many of you are already aware of, most Pet Stores(if not all), buy and sell their animals from mills. Mill animals live in deplorable conditions, used as profit- nothing more than a moneymaker, only having human contact when their litter is taken away to be sold. They are forced to produce litter after litter until they can no longer produce, when their fertility wanes they are discarded or destroyed.

I have spent my mornings reading your stories about the animals you rescued from these terrible conditions. Knowing that so many of you share this pain keeps me pushing forward when the work feels overwhelming.

Seeing this momentum grow feels like a direct strike back against the cruelty I witnessed when I first learned where these animals come from. This movement is proving that we refuse to let these stores treat living beings like profit margins any longer.

Too much profitting on pets of all kinds is causing a national animal abuse problem. We must become more responsible with pets in USA.
This practice is deplorable, please make it a Law, that animals cannot be sold in pet stores!!
So many dogs fall ill that are bought from pet stores, especially Petland. Why do our lawmakers find this acceptable? Stop this horrendous breeding of these poor dogs.
The puppies are coming from puppy mills where the parents are bred repeatedly and left in deplorable conditions.
I have two dogs from puppy mills. One has severe anxiety and the other can't take getting hugged. He also has severe anxiety over meeting new people.
This was horrible cruelty to a living thing. Incredible Neglect !! He did nothing for that dog even after she chewed her own leg off due to pain! Just imagine how much pain she was in and for how long! This man deserves the maximum sentence and fines. You must also ban him from owning animals. We cannot allow this to ever happen again.

This is such an easy decision. Puppy Mills are inhumane. Horrific for the dogs. Horrific for the well-intentioned people who buy them in pet shops and more often then not have a physically or emotionally unwell pet. That they pay dearly for. It is animal abuse at the origin: the puppy mill and often at the pet shop that gets their puppies from them; knowingly. As we ALL know by now- there are over a million adoptable dogs in shelters, looking for good homes.
