Fireworks are a waste of time unless it's a sizeable display, which only major events can really warrant. It's upsetting to animals, and in the mornings afterward the streets smell like phosphorous and vomit. Hazzah.

Fireworks terrorise our dog plus all our neighbors animals. There is no way of sheltering them from the sound. There is a continuing letting off of fireworks for afew months after Guy Fawkes every year in our neighborhood which I believe to be against the law, but who enforces this??? It's too much stress for animals and I wish it would be kept to official fireworks displays only.

My goat herd is terrified and they stand trembling in the centre of the paddock until it stops. I dread it every year and would love to see it banned.

Our streets and parks are littered with the cardboard and plastic from hundreds of fireworks. The street I reside in has a strong smell of phosphorous and vomit from the pointless holiday/event. Fireworks are overly loud and cause too much mess, but when the council runs a Guy Fawkes event they clean up after and it is in a set location.. not every other house at 8am...

Hi, Earlier today a group of boys set of a rocket in front of the police as well and it hit a car and his front screen was broken and then it miss a person by inches. Something needs to be done about bonfire night and stop all fireworks and only have them for display only and then everybody is safe then as well. Thanks

Time to Ban fireworks. Or even at least limit the number of days it is legal to let them off..like 2 days!

The private sale of fire works is unacceptable for the harm it causes to animals and that they are let off over a period of 2 weeks all more, and this is often done very late at night. It should be limited to public shows only

please ban fireworks, I have a horse, and how on earth can I tell him its fine they wont harm you, its not like I can bring him inside the house.
