We have finches sitting on babies, and eggs. There are native birds at the back of our property, and around our lake sitting on eggs, and feeding young. The bangs of fireworks are so loud and continuous it scares the birds off their nests killing the eggs and baby birds. This time of year is breeding time for birds, other countries let fire crackers off in autumn/winter, we are damaging our native wildlife as well as rare finches by having fireworks in spring/summer.

Animals and children have a right to be safe...fire works are not safe and do end up killing Animals. ..

I'm trying to study and my cats and rabbits are trying to live a peaceful, unterrorising existence. Silly silly fireworks.

I would prefer a controlled display as it is terrifying for pets and also to many break ins...also people let them off for weeks after

New neighbors move in last night an without a word of warning start letting off huge fireworks. It sounded like a shotgun going off. We live in a farming area and don't expect that. We had all our stock frightened and running through fences. Luckily my husband went and had a rather heated discussion with them and managed to get them to stop. My horse and his old mate were terrified but unharmed. Our cows had run through fences and have got into our paddock shut up for hay though and the milk production was well down this morning from our goats due to the stress of it all.

Have always believed there should only be public displays. So stressful for animals and also the elderly.
