Common sense must override now! National Government needs to get their act together on this bunkum. Been going on far too long. Public displays ONLY.

Wholeheartedly agree with a total ban on the sale of fireworks to the general public. My dogs are on strong tranquillisers from September onwards. Organised displays are the ONLY way fireworks should be seen

Ban the sale of fireworks so outdated not fun anymore just louder, and bigger and used for so many events.
Think of the animals that are harmed and scared of this nuisance event that goes on for weeks

The 2 weeks around Bonfire Night are a nightmare. Random fireworks go off throughout this period and we have a cat who is terrified of them. When we have warning, as with organised displays, we can keep him safely indoors, but the rest of the time it is extremely difficult. It seems to be getting worse every year.

Agree entirely with this petition. Fireworks are a scourge of modern life. It's like living in a war zone when they're going off.

Had an incident this weekend when someone decided to set fireworks off at 11.00pm ! Frightened our dog to the point where he wanted to hide ! Stopped us from going to sleep until much later ! Thoughtless individuals and anti social .

My Border collie,Larry, is terrified of bonfire night,as the air bombs that are lit by inconsiderate oafs, send him running upstairs hiding under the bed shaking & crying! I think fireworks should be banned, as we are celebrating a terrorist guy Fawkes! Please in the 21 century can we only sell them in the week leading up to nov5. Then remove them from shops! Millions of animals suffer from fireworks!

Yes. I would like to see a total ban on the sale of fireworks to the public and only professional diplays allowed to take place on four days of the year. They do not only cause distress to animals but effect people too. Such as the elderly and those who suffer from PTSD such as returning veterans of War in Afganitan. Who nay have suffered Mortor attacks

It is April and still fireworks are going off in area esp late at night scaring animals. This is ridiculous and could be controlled by a ban.

People keep letting off fireworks far past the guyfawkes date, its now the 16th of Jan 2016, and someone keeps letting them off, which keeps our 4 month old baby awake
