Fireworks cause too much stress for animals and too many people/animals are getting hurt. I think we should ban the sale of fireworks and have public displays where it's in a controlled environment

So upset and sick of the distress fireworks to animals - the valley i live in echos and so the massive bangs are amplified 10 fold. They also are continued to be let off nightly until new years - I then have to keep my house shut up tight to prevent my animals escaping when they are beyond frightened

Enough is enough. How many more injuries do we need??? People sensitive to sounds, children scared of them, long term effects. Animals shaking, hurting themselves to hide from it. Absolutely a money maker for shops. NO MORE!!!!!!!

I hate to be a party pooper but my dog gets terrified when fireworks go off in the neighborhood and the sleep deprivation drives me nuts... and it goes on for weeks with people letting them off in town late at night any night of the week! The public displays are amazing. Sign the petition if you agree...

I'm sick of being keep awake by people who feel the need to let these horrible things off so late at night. 11pm is the time they are supposed to stop but this is not early enough also some people think that the law does not apply to them.

My dog has an extreme reaction to fireworks every year, she starts off uncontrollably barking with the first one she hears, then she freaks out and try's to hide, she pants shakes and won't move I have to pick her up and put her in our bed as she won't move don't go outside or move. She will spend the rest of the night on high alert shaking and listening waiting for the next one- she is 25kgs so lifting her is not easy. I wouldn't mind if it was for one or even three nights of the year I had to deal with this but once they go on sale people stockpile them and this will continue for weeks until after new year in my area - it's not ok to put our animals through this it's time for a change.
