Too much cost to services, fire, ambulance, police, and property/vet bills. What other single event would use so much tax payer resources than this its just a waste of time and public funding. Place it in the hands of display experts and celebrate that way.

What a pointless tradition - costing long thousands of dollars every year, terrifying hundreds of people and animals so the idiots can be entertained. Come on everyone, including the big corporations - it's time to stop the fireworks and use the money for something much more constructive, especially in this country where child poverty is so high!!!

For the safety and welfare of animals and humans this needs to happen. Public displays are more spectacular to watch and are in a safe and controlled environment and they're advertised so people know when to watch animals etc. Horse cannot be broughtt inside and nor can they be comforted like a ct or dog if they are scared or worried. Too many of these die due to careless ness.

Public displays only - The reasons for it have been forgotten and arson/vandalism and anarchy should not be celebrated anyway.
