Feels like we are in a war zone with all the explosions! Terrifying for animals and a nuisance for children and adults trying to sleep. Hate to see the mess and damage to property in the morning, I can't believe these haven't been banned already.

It's ironic isn't it - the overgrown, immature boys who like making big bangs with fireworks (and shooting at ducks which can take days to die in agony) are ALWAYS hopeless in bed . . .
This is not conjecture - I KNOW because I have made some bad choices.

Please ban the private use of fireworks. humans get maimed, animals are absolutely terrified. i have a dog who is going nuts at the moment as i write this and god only knows how my horse down the road is coping. Public displays are all ok for one night but fireworks go on for a week or more. Please put a stop to retail sales.

They should be banned because the poor animals cant handle them. My dog goes hysterical when he hears them , its so hard to calm him down.

IT is time to ban fireworks because the huge bangs are dangerous for people with weak hearts and all animals. Time we grew up as a country. Fireworks start in our area weeks before Nov 5th and carry on for at least three months into the New Year.The noise they make is nerve-wracking.

I am tired of fireworks terrifying birds in my garden, my pet cat to say nothing of all the other innocent animals...all of which suffer the explosions for 'our' pleasure. When will we become more thoughtful of nature????

Fireworks are explosives and many people use them irresponsibly. They drift on to neighbouring properties endangering them. They frighten animals, and cause injury. It's bizarre that these dangerous goods are available. Keep fireworks for organised displays by licences operators
