Final supporters
As a species, we drink more than $100 billion in bottle water every year! That's about 50 billion bottles. That means some 17 million barrels of oil are used every year to produce those single-use plastic water bottles we use and toss! Even worse, it takes three times the amount of water to produce the bottle than it does to fill the bottle. And worse still, more than 80% of those bottles end up in the landfill, on the side of the road and in our waterways.
We the students of Voice Integrative School would like to ban bottled water form Toronto. Bottled water has a negative impact on our environment and and the water from our taps are cleaner than the water in the plastic bottles. Together we can help save the environment and ourselves.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing this level of momentum proves we are not fighting alone. It is difficult to keep track of the late nights and the setbacks yet I am still here because this work is necessary. We have earned a seat at the table and I intend to make sure we are not ignored.

Just charge a single water bottle use - in fact a tax on any size of potentially refillable product - a tax that covers the cost of retrieving the bottles from the oceans alone...
Sooner or later, every toxic and environmentally destructive corporate empire will be brought down one (ex)-consumer at a time.

Ridiculous that we pay for tap water in a bottle anyway. Grab a reusable and stop filling up the trash bins!
