Final supporters
Breed Specific-Legislation or BSL, is the term for laws created to regulate and even ban specific breeds. These breeds consist of American pit bull terriers, german shepherds, english bull terriers, rottweilers, dalmatians, american bulldogs and many more dogs that resemble these breeds. BSL was created to minimize “dangerous breed” attacks on humans and other animals. However, there has yet to be any evidence or facts that prove that BSL is an effective way of preventing dog fights and attacks. Owners of these breeds are required to follow ban regulations and are at risk of legal fees, housing issues and even the surrendering of their dog(s). There are over 700 U.S cities that have enacted this and my goal with this petition is to work towards getting rid of the ban and stopping it from being enacted in other U.S. cities.

I am honestly speechless at how quickly this caught on and I never imagined so many people cared about these dogs as much as I do. This momentum belongs entirely to you because you were the ones who took the time to notice and speak up. It feels like we are finally starting to turn a corner together.

THESE DOGS DESERVE A CHANCE!! stop judging dogs by how they look and blame the bad owners instead.
My rottie is a giant baby who is scared of his own shadow. BSL is just lazy lawmaking and it punishes good owners for no reason.
Get rid of the ban. If it doesn't have any evidence to be effective, why single out certain dog breeds?
Pitbulls are the sweetest dogs I've ever met, all they want to do is play and have a living family. I hope people who don't like the breed or think they're a menace step in dog poop!
Dogs are gifts and they are only bad when treated as such. When raised properly with love and care, they are your best friend.

I have a Pit she can be very curious but never vicious. When having a ban certain breed shows that we are not taking blame for our actions for the way we train them instead.
