Styrofoam should be banned in Albany Co. takeout restaurants and should not be sold in supermarkets and convenience stores. If you really want to, you can ban this!

I urge you to expand your current ban Styrofoam, for the reasons noted herein as well as for the fact that Albany Country's proactive ecological work will serve as an model and inspiration for other municipalities in NY state.

We can easily use biodegradable materials for take-out, this is such an easy part of our landfill and fossil fuel issues to address!

Nautual materials to store food and beverage exist and are more compatible with our ecosystem. Addressing only the financial aspect of business decisions is selfish and morally questionable. The right thing to do is legislate the removal of styrofoam as an option for those who only decide on price and ignore the social and environmental costs of their choices.

I own an ice cream shop in Albany and it is easily affordable not to use styrofoam.
Please ban styrofoam.
