We don't need polystyrene for food or beverage. It should be banned for takeout food, for "doggie bags"from restaurants, for beverages. Please ban it now.

Let's get on with doing the right thing here. We'll help our fellow small business people make the transition.

I may already have signed this. If your signature list was in alpha order I'd check.

Styrofoam is harmful to create and harmful as lasting, nonbiodegradable trash. We shouldn't be using in anymore.

Please stop allowing the use of non-compostable, non-biodegradable containers.

This is an important opportunity to clear the streets and landfill of this obnoxious and persistant product, be sure to seize the chance to ban it!

This ban is so important. Businesses can afford the switch. Mother earth cannot afford the garbage.

Please encourage these companies to utilize more sustainable and environmentally conservative practices to ensure future generations can enjoy this earth.

Styrofoam is not necessary. Let's get rid of it!

Polystyrene foam is theoretically recyclable, but as a practical matter no-one does because it is very low density (for each piece you handle, you get only a tiny amount of plastic back), and it is usually contaminated with food. So let's go with the compostable alternatives!

Action like this is not merely symbolic. We need to DO something and the county legislature needs to stand up for our lovely environment every chance it gets.
