I bring my own plate to the cafe in my office building to avoid styrofoam. I am the only person in the whole building who does this small step to reduce waste. Please ban styrofoam!

I live on a sub-arterial in Troy and pick up several of these to-go containers daily. Some significant percentage must come from across the river in Albany county. I would love for the trash I pick up to go into my recycling or compost instead of the garbage.

The ban on Styrofoam is long overdue. There are now many more viable and affordable materials available that are much safer to use.
There is no reason to continue the use of Styrofoam other than to perpetuate the interests of those to lazy to make changes for the greater good.
