We, the undersigned, support the expansion of the ban on Styrofoam (polystyrene) for commercial establishments that sell take-out food and drinks in Albany County. The current ban covers establishments with 15 or more locations. The expanded ban would cover all establishments that sell take-out food and drinks.

Everyone needs clean water to survive and live a healthy life. When there is something that can be done to make water cleaner and healthier, why not do it? It's only common sense. Sure, styrofoam is convenient, but the risk of health problems because of polluted water is a serious deterrent.

Cheered to see some action on this in the marketplace. Let's get this done to safeguard the health of present and future citizens.

I'd also be willing to refrain from patronizing businesses that use styrofoam, if I knew who they were ahead of time.

This is a very rational and inexpensive move and helpful with our stewardship of mother earth!

As an Albany County resident, I fully support this measure. It is high time we start using the readily available alternatives when it comes to take-out food and drinks.

We must stop the use of this material. There are plenty of alternatives available.

Please ban styrofoam in Albany County. What a waste -- the container for fast food will last for millennia.
