Ban Styrofoam (polystyrene) in Albany County

We're at a crisis with these one-time items that don't degrade. It's time to act.

Please please stop allowing styrofoam to be allowed!! Nobody seems to want to recycle it and it never breaks down. Every day I pick up someone else’s styrofoam trash that has blown into my yard. Thank you.

Please ban styrofoam

I strongly support a ban styrofoam for all food takeout businesses in Albany County.

Styrofoam lasts nearly forever and its manufacture adds toxins to our environment. Please ban it more widely!

some restaurants are already switching from styrofoam, so it isn't such a hardship - must ban in, because not all will stop using it voluntarily.

I support Albany County in its leadership on a Styrofoam ban. While I live in Rensselaer county, I work in Albany and do most of my recreation in Albany including eating out in Albany. I will pay any additional cost to avoid the use of Styrofoam. Thank you Albany county for leading the way on this ban for our upstate counties.

A ny inconvenience is overshadowed by the benefit to our environment.
