Cameras have never increased safety anywhere, they only increase revenue for the municipalities and the companies that install them. They should be banned period. Vision Zero is a "zero"!. Traffic will never move at 25 miles per hour no matter how much enforcement is instituted. Traffic engineers should be employed to implement their expertise to correct problem areas, not city counsels and the like who believe a stop sign, a camera or what ever else suits their whim, on every corner is the answer to everything. Thinking that pedestrians and bicyclists can never be at fault in an accident is a ludicrous notion. The vast majority of motorists drive responsibly and don’t go out of their way to endanger anyone. We are human beings and not machines, being such, are subject to flaws and imperfections. Unfortunately traffic accidents will always occur unless "Vision Zero's" real vision is to remove motorists completely from our streets. You'll then have "Smart Growth", a dangerous idea of controlling and restricting how citizens travel to work, shop an play. Can anyone say "Papers Please!"

I just paid 2 speeding tickets that came in the mail and this 25mph speed limit is making my life miserable. It takes me an extra 15 minutes to get to work and a lot of the other drivers are honking and cursing me out for observing the new speed. If anything it should raised to 35 or 40 miles per hour.

Speed and red-light cameras invade our privacy and not allow us to face our accuser.

Not like the people of New York don't already pay to much for your vehicle to be on the road already !!! Between Plates, Registration & Inspection Stickers they are making enough money on the Drivers of this State...

The use of speed cameras is unconsitutional since the accused is cannot face the accuser.
