Ever since Russia started invasion into Ukraine, I cannot use your services anymore. I cannot play video games, because my real life experience right now could be used as a basis for plot of the next part of Far Cry
Every day I wake up from air strike alarm and hide with my family in a bomb shelter.
With our bags packed we are ready to get moving any minute. This can happen numerous times a day. Also while eating, taking shower etc.
The war has taken away my usual life style, any comfort and pleasures, but also the basic need of safety. This is how most of people in Ukraine feel now. Almost a million people have already left their homes behind and fled to Poland and other countries. The rest is either defending their land or surviving. These are your customers too, thousands of Ukrainian Steam players, who played Steam games just a week ago.
Nonetheless russian Steam customers keep using your services at this very moment from the comfort of their homes.
Russians keep playing Steam video games while Ukrainian people suffer under Russian armed forces invasion, while Ukrainian soldiers and civilians are dying from russian bombs and rockets.
This is simply outrageous!
Do you think it's fair that russians, who support this war and support Russian armed aggression versus Ukraine, meanwhile keep playing video games, while Ukrainians hide in bomb shelters?
While we in Ukraine defend now not only our country, but whole world and the very principles of Freedom and Democracy, I urge you to support our efforts and ban russian customers from using Steam services.
Russian people are already feeling some of the consequences of sanctions applied to Russia by USA and EU. If russian gamers are banned from Steam, this will be a powerful strike, which may force russians to protest against Putin's regime, which caused all of this suffering.
Help us to inform people of Russia that their real enemies not us, but their government which started this stupid war and is feeding russians with fake news and anti-ukrainian as well as anti-usa propaganda. Help us to reach Russian, through some extreme measures like temporary stopping your services for Russia. We need to show people of Russia that the only thing that the war machine can bring is their isolation from rest of the world. We need them to join the fight for freedom and Democracy, and to stop the bloody Putin'sregime. It's very important for the future of my country, and whole world, because we can't be sure that Russia will stop on Ukraine.
I'm also addressing this to you @Gabe and @Mike, as I admire your work and your passion for video games. Lets do everything possible to stop this hell. I believe that in 21st century war belongs only in video games.

I agree. It is a disgrace that Steam gives Russian Nazi culture a voice on their platform. Until Russians do not leave Ukraine, apologize of their war crimes before the world and pay for rebuilding the country they destroyed, they need to be cast out of the world community.
Every FPS game is filled with russian cheaters. I'm really-really-really want to play the games without them ruining every minute of being online

I really want this to happen. Russians are the biggest cheat developers, cheat users, bot farmers, fake account sales, fake accounts bought atleast in cs2. They dont bring anything good to steam. No need for people who are just gonna ruin everyones experience with purpose. People like that should have been banned already.
