Thomas Hardye School Sixth Form has recently implemented a ban on being outside during lesson time. I appreciate this may be a response to mock results/an attempt to encourage study but as the weather improves it is simply unreasonable to ban the enjoyment of sunshine. There is no follow up to ensure work/productive activity is being done, merely a ban on enjoying fresh air.If the school hopes to create a mature environment conducive to a higher level of education they need to stop treating people like children and enforcing arbitrary rules. By signing this petition you vow your support in opposition of this rule. A university wouldn't put a ban on being outside, a college wouldn't dream of it, nor would a job forbid you going outside in your breaks - how are we supposed to prepare for life after school when we are still treated like we are 15! I should point out this is not applicable if you are doing something loud/irritating that could disrupt someone else's learning
