The media needs to stop pretending celebrities have perfect bodies. There are no perfect bodies. Embrace what you have been given!

I am 50 and still struggle not to fall back into eating disorders. No matter how little I have weighed it has never been little enough.

I'm upset that the real beauty is replaced with fake beauty. There are so many teens out there dying from suicide. Something has to be done. It's the worst thing someone invented.

I am sick and tired of comparing myself to all of these photoshopped images. It's not that I can't stop comparing myself it's that society has made it a social must. You must look like this, you must weigh this, you must be this size etc.

Something I think is interesting that I realized is that when you look in the mirror, you are so used to your features that you don't realize how beautiful you are, because you see yourself everyday. But by editing women to look so gorgeous that its fake, you take all of that confidence and self esteem away from young girls. I'm 13 and I already struggle with body image!

these magazines with photo-shopping are sending a horrible message to young girls, many killing themselves or starving themselves.

Ever since I was younger i always wanted to look like the models in the magazines. I still do. But after watching videos such as this one I have realized that I could never look like them because then looking that way isn't even real. Everything is photoshopped and every girl needs to realize this. This is such a huge problem in our society and this is one of the reasons why we have so many teenage girls that are cutting, making bad decisions, altering their bodies, killing themseleves, and spending so much time worrying about how much they weigh or how pretty they are. Everyone is beautiful the way they are. Makeup is okay to wear, dying your hair is okay, it's just the fact that you feel like you look ugly or horrible without it that isn't okay. Everyone can express themselves in ways that they want- that is what is okay. I think I wm hideous the majority of the time when I look in the mirror, so I put on makeup and do my hair and wear pretty outfits. That's how I "photoshop" myself. I show that I respect myself and care about what I look like, but I'm not gonna kill myself over it. That's how I express myself.
