As a straight white dude, I hate all the assholes who use homophobic comments in this game. It really is a good game. The community has a bunch of assholes though.

I don't see the point in this, yes CS is a child friendly site, did you ever think maybe there are some kids having the time of their lives, but they don't support LGBT+ because they, and their family is Christian? that would break their hearts. it would hurt me, to be banned just because something so silly. people only bully because, something said by the other person offended them. me myself not supporting LGBT+ I am not a "homophobe" I'm not scared of any one like this, nor do I bully someone of this sort. I just choose to ignore them and move on with life, again. I think this petition is the worst idea because, again. think about the CHRISTIAN kids who are having fun on this site, but could get banned because they don't support this. talk about cold. very cold. this petition I swear I don't care what you people say, it's a form of selfishness.

Well, looking at it from a neutral standpoint; The sheer number of people who are pro-gay most definitly outnumbers those who aren't. However, in banning anything related to homophobia, they may cuase those that don't support it to feel as if they have no voice, or feel trapped, or rish being penalized if they are asked on the viewpoint on the matter. However, doing this may also cut down on fights or arguements. However my opinion on this is that I think everyone should be able to voice their opinion in a respectful manner, whether their pro-gay or not.

Before you shout at me, I'm not against this petition. I'm just voicing my opinion, so spread the love guys.<3 Firstly, I'd like to say the good always has to be balanced with the evil. There will never be a stop to bullying in the word because honestly, people have always been judgemental and that's not going to stop. You can say 'I'm not judgemental' but the truth is, it's human nature and comes naturally to all of us. Yes, some people have it more than others and feel the need to express that in.. harsh ways. (i.e bullying.) Bullies have their own problems and that's why they bully, but that isn't YOUR problem. You do what you want. You want to be gay? Nobody is stopping you. You want to be a lesbian? Go for it. You want to eat that cookie? Do it. Yes, things are /restricting/ you, but that isn't the same thing. Maybe you should be focusing more on the general world and conquering them before you take your petition to a website which is made for FUN. Instead of jumping down their throats and try and rip their gullets out, why don't you sit down like polite humans and talk about your differences. A homophobe is a person too and if they have the common courtesy to do so, will listen to your opinion, just as they would expect you to listen to theirs. Who cares if someone doesn't support gay marriage? There are enough people in the world who want it, even if they aren't homosexual, for it to be approved (well in the UK anyway). You keep fighting your battles, but don't turn a fun site into a war zone, there is enough of that in the world.

To everyone arguing that it's forcing homophobes to accept homosexuality, so it shouldn't be done, that is absolutely not true. We can't (always) change people's views, and that's not the point of this petition. The point of the petition is to stop homophobic members from posting hateful pictures/words in their signatures. For me personally, it's extremely uncomfortable to see "I DON'T support gay marriage!" in people's signatures. They have the right to their own beliefs, but why feel the needs to put it out there? Why not put things you LIKE in your signature? That's what this petition is for. Not to change people's opinions, but to make LGBTQ+ members feel less hated/uncomfortable.

It is an opinion people are entitled to, but since it is often very close to bullying and is very close to racism in my mind anyways, it's a good thing not to have on a children's site.

Since homophobic people are denying other people basic human rights, because of something people cannot change they are generally not viewed as the picked on ones. it's very similar to racism, picking on a person or people for something they cannot change. I think people can be homophobic, but they shouldn't be able to bully people or deny them basic rights. it's sort of like ordering a cake at a restaurant and having a random stranger say "cancel that cake! My dietbook says I can't have any so they can't either."

Going off the comments that people have left when they signed the petition, please do not thank me. I am not the one who suggested this idea, I am the one who ended up just going "Screw it lets do this." WE did this, WE started this and together WE are the ones who will achieve this!

We, as a whole, encourage you all to advertise this petition anywhere you deem it necessary to! In your signatures on CS, in your profiles for out of website forum games, anywhere you see fit!

Come on guys, we are so close to getting half way! Please put this in your signatures if you must, we need to get this completed and raise awareness that Homophobic bullying is a real thing and we will not stand for it!

(I also don't know how the CS staff will respond to this petition. Similar ones against unfair rules and the like have been made and met their goal, while nothing actually changed on the site. If Tess has her mind set, petitions might not change that. Unfortunately on CS it seems homophobia is still considered an 'opinion' that people are somehow entitled to.)

Good petition, aside from the fact that 'transgender' isn't a sexuality. Transphobia and homophobia are in the same intolerant vein and neither should be tolerated, but they are slightly different issues.

Please don't kill me for this, but personally I don't think it should be banned. My reason is because if others are able to express their beliefs and such, why can't homophobes? (Not sure if that's the right word xp) I get that it leads to arguments and such, but maybe if people just stuck to their own business and didn't start arguments in the first place (I'm not blaming this on anyone, btw! Just to the general CS community, not certain people in particular) we'd all be able to get along. I'm not homophobic, even with Christian parents, and I am straight. Personally, even though I'm not against it, I do feel a little uncomfortable when somebody mentions LGBTQ and stuff because my parents are against it, and they'd probably murder me if the found out my bff was a lesbian.

Since I cannot delete that comment, I will like to add on. To clear it all up. What this petition is that is. The Petition is mainly aimed at the bullying side of Homophobia. Sometimes the line between opinion and bullying isn't realized or known. (From my current standpoint, people may agree/ disagree with me here) And any discussion about this topic usually ends up in some heated debate that leads to the mods cleaning up. That is the reason why it exists, why the petition exists. It is an extreme way of getting the message through. Bullying Homophobia is not okay at all and should not be tolerated. Especially on CS. If anyone has anything to add, please feel free to. Remember to share this around and get everyone one involved!
