A Fat Tax is a tax which is put on some fattening foods and beverages. We disagree with this because it isn't fair on other individuals that may buy fattening foods as a treat or aren't affected by the fattening ingredients. It isn't just fattening foods that are the main cause of obesity, it is also sedentary lifestyles, illnesses and laziness. There is evidence that obese individuals are less responsive to change in the price of food than normal weight individuals. You can help stop David Cameron from setting taxes that only affect the vulnerable by signing the Ban Fat Tax petition.
