What an ugly suggestion, not to mention the traffic chaos it would cause and the death of several small businesses on the peninsula!

This is not an appropriate development for the area it would create even more traffic and parking problems and destroy the local businesses. Stop this insanity now!

This will create terrible traffic backlog at one of Balmain's main access points which is already overloaded. There are already huge Bunnings stores very close so is completely unnecessary to have another so close to the Haberfield and new Gladesville stores not to mention what an eyesore it will create to the landscape. Don't approve this please.

We already have massive issues getting on and off the peninsula and a serious parking problem. Do we need this? No!! (Balmain resident )

Big corporations have to stop thinking they can put there large mega stores everywhere they wish.
Balmain is a quaint village and this is the way it should stay that way.

Bunnings is suitable in the regional industrial area of Port macquarie, BUT DEFINITELY NOT SUITABLE FOR THE ALREADY CONGESTED TRAFFIC FLOW OF THE BALMAIN/ROZELLE PENINSULA.
Thumbs down for this proposal

I am against this development on the grounds it does not suit the area, jobs will be lost to local independent hardware stores, is way too big, out of character but MOST OF ALL THIS WOULD create traffic gridlock for ALL residentS who live on the Penninsula...

No Way. Have some respect for the area, don't do regretful bad planning.
It is a sacrelige to do this to the area
There are good local businesses which you are throwing to the dogs
There is a huge parking - congestion issue
There is a heritage site across the road in the form of the Powerhouse buildings and putting a Bunnings next to it is really bad taste and bad planning.
There is a strong residential aspect to the area, demographically this proposal is very wrong.
If all is thought out above board this can not go ahead. This is not appropriate. Don't do this to the area. Please.
I strongly oppose the Bunnings proposal.

I'm so dreading this if its approved. No parking, traffic jam on an already conjested road in the morning ( to Victoria rd ) loss of small business in our area, And besides Bunnings so create horrible architecture. How can council approve this. It's about the merger just recently that sacked our council. Big business at the expense of community. Boo Hoo
