Someone one is obviously being paid off at the expense of the community we have two hardware stores already so no need for a third.

What a disgrace! The thought of a Bunnings on our tiny peninsular is absurd. The congestion, pollution not to mention putting our local hardware stores out of business is just another way of destroying our local community. Our kids safety on our quiet tree lined streets will also be compromised.

Saying no to Bunnings in Balmain. The infrastructure won't support it.

The effect on the local traffic will be ridiculous. Stupid proposal

there is already a Bunnings store within a short drive of Balmain, a store of this size is not inkeeping with the other businesses in the area and would impact traffic / parking immensely. In addition we already have a hardware store that services the need of the community.

Could everyone please make an official objection to the inner west council at [email protected] because there are only 40 objections on their DA tracking at the moment

NO BIG BUNNINGS in Balmain, it won't fit anyway - what a stupid idea for all, even Bunnings

Terrible. Local stores create a community, and Bunning will kill off the two already in place. A sad day when we have just mega stores with no soul.

he design, hours and location are all inconsistent with the area's typical zoning and predominantly residential composition. This part of Rozelle is zoned light commercial and typically houses small office buildings, storage warehouses and fitness facilities. Bunnings does not fit into any of these categories or streetscape. There are already three Bunnings stores already located 5 to 8 kms from this area (including a new store being developed on Victoria Rd Gladesville) plus several more located within 15kms. All of these stores are on major highways, roads or within industrial parks. NONE are located in light-industrial and/or residential areas such as Rozelle.

The proposal will directly impact already congested traffic in the area and cause significant delays and safety concerns especially on Mullens St. The proposed signage and facade is also in contradiction to conditions imposed on other businesses in the area. It would set a precedent that would see our community and village shaped like a hideous commercial strip like Parramatta.

Short term vision on the impact of existing long established timber and hardware businesses in Rozelle. Not to mention the nightmare it would create with traffic congestion in that vicinity which already seizes up in peak hour. Large haul deliveries of goods to the site - Seriously!!!

This development will add to the already problematic traffic issues and high pollution levels in the area as well as wipe out the independent hardware stores. We have a two large Bunnings stores in the inner west anyway.
