I am strongly against the Bunnings development as it will create traffic chaos on the peninsula, threaten local businesses, and we do not need another Bunnings when there are 2 within a reasonable distance.

Too much traffic already. Inappropriate size development for the location. Parking pressures. Devastation for small local hardware stores. Inadequate car spaces on site.

Please do not allow Bunnings to come to Rozelle. We can get to other Bunnings stores quite easily already.

Traffic issues. Close proximity of dwellings and existing light industry. A blight on possible hi tech options for the Power Station redevelopment. Already existing independent hardware shops in the area

Traffic jams are bound to result.
A Commercial entry to a heritage suburb, totally inappropriate.

This is Not a suitable location for a 7-day trading retail store the size of Bunnings.
These roads already get gridlocked with traffic eneterjng & leaving the peninsula, it's surrounded by low scale residential & nothing over 2-stories. It's just not in keeping with the area & not a suitable use of the land. Please say NO

We believe there will not be enough parking in the area to keep spaces for residents to be able to park around the surrounding area.

Absolutely not. Traffic congestion and more traffic congestion in a very tight area.

It is not a business for this area! Also it would create more traffic problems in a small area.

How can council even think it is appropriate for the site.
Opposite a heritage site no less.

This development is inappropriate for our small quiet heritage neighbourhood with a village vibe, is too large in in scale for surroundings and will have a major negative impact on the traffic, which is already congested and struggles. We don't need it and we don't want it. Please don't allow it to proceed.

This a wholly inappropriate development for a site such as this. It will have a major adverse impact on traffic flows and local residence.
Note that the old Balmain Leagues Club development was rejected on, amongst other grounds, the impact on traffic.

The local hardware stores don't always have what you want but that's better than a mega store, inappropriately scaled, crassly designed, aggressively competitive as a gateway to one of the few remaining suburbs with a genuinely civilized sense of community. And at least when our hardware stores don't have the thing you're after they know what it is - at Bunnings when you finally locate an 'assistant' they've usually no idea. Ironically American Express is currently promoting a 'shop small' campaign - for once I agree with a multinational finance company!
Bunnings does not belong here.

Please no more take over of small suburbs Bunnings. Alexandria is close enough. We are happy with the local hardware stores for our small needs and we can go to you when we need.
