I live in Balmain and shop at Bunnings a lot but I do not need a store set up in an area that is already a nightmare for traffic. Getting into and out of Balmain, especially on Saturday is hopeless.
In addition I fear for the viability of local hardware stores.
The proposal should be blocked.

I live across the road from this proposed development. I do not want my family to suffer from the additional traffic nor any negative visual environmental impact on the architecturally potential of white bay power station and its surrounds.

This corner is simply too busy as it is. It takes 30min every morning to travel 3 km to the city by bus. Imagine the congestion with this Bunnings there!! No to Bunnings....

The traffic and parking submission for this DA is very misleading. Council needs to do its own or we will have traffic chaos on the largest feeder out of peninsula.

Balmain Rozelle does not need Bunnings. The existing hardware stores are perfectly adequate. Traffic will be worse than ever, the roads are inadequate as it is now. Buses use narrow residential streets as a rat run. And still no proper consultation or overall plan for the whole area!

There are two perfectly good hardware stores locally, plus the proposed location is highly unsuitable for extra traffic.

No! We don't want or need the store, the extra traffic congestions the issues with parking or the strain on road system!

As a resident and employee of a small business based on Robert Street, I would like to register my opposition to the idea of a Bunnings store at this location. The increase in traffic would be horrendous, making an already busy road absolutely unusable.

I am strongly opposed to this proposal. The impact on an area already suffering congestion will be untennable and is not inkeeping with the local area in any way

We really don't want Bunnings in Balmain. Completely in appropriate on the small peninsula. There is one not that far!

A terrible location for a Bunnings for both traffic reasons and also being so close to the future Tech Hub at White Bay.

Traffic in Balmain is already a nightmare. If you reference the traffic flow at both Bunnings Ashfield & Artarmon then Balmain will just come to a complete standstill !!!
