The location and nature of this devopment is out of character for this area, and the likely traffic impact makes it unviable.

Big NO to Bunnings in Balmain. As much as I love the store Haberfield is close enough and easy accessible.

I am all for development but this is oversized for an area that already struggles with traffic and parking.

This Bunnings proposal shows no respect for the heritage-listed White Bay Power Station, the Bunnings signage is an eye-sore, and the scale of the proposed retail operation is completely out of keeping with its neighbourhood setting.
Balmain / Rozelle is not a commercial/ industrial hub
The traffic created in just supplying the warehouse woul d create even more problems in an already congested area

An already traffic choked suburb will be impacted negatively by an unneeded additional hardware store

The Roberts rd /Mullins street is clogged with traffic most of the day already - no room for semi trailers in our narrow streets! Already a good hardware store 2 blocks away!

Ludicrous idea, traffic nightmare. Plus all the trucks delivering supplies. We already have two great local hardware stores what about their livelihood.

Not good for this area and will definitely affect local hardware businesses, others small business may benefit for coffees and food but will not be able to compensate the loss and traffic and parking is already a major problem in Balmain with Narrow streets and this will only make it worse and specially Mullens street

Balmain has very narrow streets and is heavily populated now. If you add the congestion of a Bunnings store with customers trying to park it will be a nightmare for Balmain.

Over development
Traffic will be horrendous getting in and out of the peninsula
We need to support our local hardware stores over mega stores
