These large footprint retailers don't belong in this high density area that has very limited street parking.

I live in Mullen St and already the volume of traffic is excessive with residents parking limited. Locating a Bunnings at this site would impact negatively 100 fold on all aspects of this residencial area. Apart from this small area of industrial businesses it is all housing. Why not go ahead with the Gladesville site as it was proposed a year or so ago. The infrastructure has already been done.

Mullens St & Victoria Rd is already a choke point . Every Bunnings store has inadequate parking . Brookvale , Narrrabeen are perfect examples . Large semi trailers make bulk deliveries to those and all Bunnings stores creating more havoc on already tight streets . Parsons St is residential and small business which is just coping with current people needing access for business and home .There is no need for this store for local residents.Ashfield is 10 min away .& plenty of small shops and hardware stores for DIY etc . No ! not commensurate with the local surroundings. No ! Create more inbound and outbound traffic .and unsafe levels for pedestrians & cyclists.No ! not needed first and foremost for local Rozelle , Balmain residents or businesses

What a ridiculous proposition. Disproportionate, out of keeping with the development in the location, unnecessary. Most of all, the traffic in this area is incredibly congested already and a Bunnings will make it worse. This proposal should be rejected.

My concerns include the impact on traffic within the area that alraedy tackles congested roads along with the effect on parking around our residential area.

The size of this development is entirely unsuitable for the area, we don't even have a supermarket this size!
If there could be a smaller one developed ala Petbarn up near the Sackville than that would be great, but not one of this size. Also I love hardware stores, there's already The Hardware Store in Rozelle, and it's just 10-15mins to either Bunnings Alexandria or Ashfield. This proposal is borderline laughable at how unsuitable it is and needs to be reconsidered.

If I am trying to catch a bus from the corner Roberts St/ Vic Rd in the morning, I usually have to wait for 3 of 4 full busses to pass me until there is one that has space. That's just talking locals trying to get to and from work to the city. It's going to be mayhem once public transport shoppers will come to bunnings, and the currently shocking traffic (20 min from Buchanan St to Vic Rd are the norm during peak hours) will turn even worse.

Another reason to reject this: Bunnings is owned by Wesfarmers. Just Google "Wesfarmers political donations" to see how cosy the company is to the Liberal Party, the same party that robbed Leichhardt of it's elected Council. Baird's Planning minister will now "make the decision" on this application. Join the bloody dots!!
