Finals decide a huge portion of our grades, and have the ability to change our final grade by more than 4 letter grades at times. One test on one day of the semester should not decide your ulimate grade in a class. Students come to the University to learn, and acquire knowledge. Not to simply acquire good grades. They learn everyday, they study everyday, and they demonstrate their accomplishments everyday of the semster. Grades should depend on what a student accomplishes, learns, and demonstates throughout the semester. Finals should not have the weight, ability, or capability of having such a big impact of what student have done through the semester. While finals are important because they test an individual`s cumalitive knowledge, its impact should be minimized as it currently offends student grades unfairly. The University should set a limit to how much a final should be worth, making it at the maximum 6% or less of a student`s final grade.

its so unfair that one bad day can tank my gpa after working hard all semester. my grade should reflect the effort i put in all year not just one test.

FINALS ARE LITERALLY KILLING ME. I have a 3.8 and one exam could drop me to a C. This system is broken and needs to stop.
